Graduates and current participants in the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program will be recognized during the 2011 Illinois State Fair luncheon and awards program on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. The noon event on the Director’s Lawn of the State Fairgrounds in Springfield is part of Ag Day – a day honoring Illinois Agriculture.
Program graduates and participants who would like free tickets to attend the Illinois State Fair that day, including the luncheon and program, should call the IALF office to make a reservation. Reservations must be made by Friday, July 29th by calling (309) 837-7711.
In addition to the luncheon and awards program, there are other agricultural exhibits and shows on August 16th. There will be new agricultural commodity exhibits near Gate 2, a Farmers Market food sampling, The Commodity Auction at 5:00PM in the Livestock Center, and the Governor’s Sale of Champions at 5:30PM, also in the Livestock center. There will also be horse racing in the Grandstand area before the evening show featuring Luke Bryan with Trailer Choir.
