During his service on the IALF board, Harris led the alumni association in developing programming for more than 400 alumni of the leadership program – a network of informed, capable, motivated and highly regarded leaders who are dedicated to helping each other, their communities, their nation, and their industry. Graduates of the program include the Chairman of the U.S. Farm Credit Administration, Chairman of the U.S. Grains Council, President of the Illinois Farm Bureau, Chairman of the Illinois Soybean Association, Chairman of the Illinois Corn Marketing Board and others.
“Tim has excelled in the difficult role of being a leader of leaders,” said Don Norton, President & CEO of the IALF. “He has contributed a great deal to developing alumni programs that have added value to our graduates’ leadership education.”
Harris will continue to serve on the alumni board as past-president. Chet Boruff, the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies (AOSCA) in Moline, Ill., is the new alumni board president.
The Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program is a two-year comprehensive education series that develops knowledgeable and effective leaders to become policy and decision makers for the agricultural industry.
