An Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation (IALF) alumnus, a current board member and a past board member were among five people honored by the University of Illinois’ College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES).
Lynette L. Marshall, a past IALF Board Member and 1983 graduate of the U of I, Tami Craig Schilling, a current IALF Board Member and 1983 U of I graduate, and David D. Shockey, a 1988 graduate of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program and 1980 University of Illinois graduate were recognized in ceremonies held Monday, April 15, 2013. They received the ACES Alumni Association Award of Merit together with two other University of Illinois alumni.
The ACES Award of Merit recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of living University of Illinois College of ACES alumni who have excelled in their careers, leadership or service upon graduation from college. Selection is based on Professional Accomplishments, Service to the University and College, Service to Professional Organizations, Community Involvement and Awards & Honors as well as the Narrative Endorsement/Letters of Recommendation.
Marshall is president of The University of Iowa Foundation. She served on the IALF Board 0f Directors from 2002 to 2009. Craig Schilling is Vice-President of Monsanto Technology Communications and is a fifth generation agriculturalist. She began her term on the IALF Board of Directors in 2012. Shockey is an attorney in Illinois whose practice has focused in areas of estate and business planning, real estate, and agricultural law.
